IDP Men's Team to Race at Club Cross Nationals
Our Idaho Distance Project men's team will be hitting the grassy course in Bethlehem, Pennsylvania, for the 2019 USATF Club Cross Country Championships. The race will be contested on December 14, 2019 on the Lehigh University cross country course. The Lehigh course is one of the best-known cross country venues in the nation and the site of the annual Paul Short XC Invitational and three previous NCAA Championships.
The Championships consist of five separate races: Masters Women at 6 km, Masters Men 60+ at 8 km, Masters Men (40-59) at 10 km, Open Women at 6 km and Open Men at 10 km. A total of $40,000 in prize money will be awarded to winning athletes and teams. The Mens Open race will begin at 2:00 pm EST. Live results will be available at leonetiming.com.
Competing for the IDP men this weekend will be Andrew Rafla, Zach Perrin, Greg Montgomery, Mick Iacofano, and David Elliott. Good luck and happy travels!
*SIDENOTE: David, Greg, Andrew and Mick raced the Boise Turkey Day 5K this past Thanksgiving morning, setting a blazing pace (14:22-14:36) and pushing each other to grab the top four finishing places! We are excited to see what they can do at double the distance and well as with the addition of Zach!!!
