Megan Lacy will be competing in the Aramco Houston Half Marathon on Sunday, January 19th. She has already qualified for the Olympic Trials in her debut marathon this past summer at Grandma's Marathon in Duluth, Minnesota, where she crossed the finish in 2:39.12. She will be using the half marathon as a tune-up race for the Trials.

Erik will be racing the Chevron Huston Marathon on Sunday, January 19th, in attempt to hit the Olympic Trials Qualifying Standard of 2:19:00. He was just shy of the mark by 32 seconds after a seven minute PR at the California International Marathon this past December. Now is his time!

This is the first time in history that both the full and half races will be World Athletic Gold Label events. The gun time will be 7:01 a.m. Central Standard Time for both competitions. You can tune in to ABC-13 to catch live coverage from 7-10:00 am, or watch the streaming available at www.abc13.com or www.ESPN3.com.

Good luck to Megan and Erik! We will be cheering for you!!!
