Grayson Murphy is the Women's 2019 World Mountain Running Champion! This year's race took place at Villa La Angostura, Argentina, on November 15th. Murphy dominated her world championship debut by racing out front and winning by 21 seconds over her nearest competitor, Elise Poncet of France. Grayson completed the 14.7K course in 1:15:20, leading the US women's team to a 5th place finish. Heavy rains earlier in the day, and three races competing on the course prior, made for difficult maneuvering and an even more challenging race, including 2,475 feet of ascent.

Elise Poncet (FRA) second place, Grayson Murphy WORLD CHAMPION, Phillipa Williams (GBR) third place.

Joseph Gray won the senior men's race, making it a double gold medal day for the United States! The senior men's team also won silver.

Grayson is two for two in her debut mountain running championship races, first the US Championships in October, and now she conquers the WORLD!
