Zakk Hess

Zakk's running career started when convinced by a friend to try track after running a "fast" gym class mile freshman year of HS. After a decent high school career, he pursued running collegiality, at SUNY Fredonia where he got a BS in Geology. He was introduced to running more than 15 miles a week and the wild sport of XC as a frosh at Fred. In his time at Fredonia he won a couple conference championships, competed in 3 national championships (2 x cross, 1 x indoor track), and broke two school records (3k and DMR , DMR was later broken). Upon graduating he decided to drop what he had in the east and move from NY out to the wild wild west to pursue an MS in Hydrologic Sciences at BSU. He has continued to chase running post grad, but has been faced with injury after injury. Working hard currently to get healthy and take care of some unfinished business on the track.
